I didn't really know that I joined the FFA. I didn't know what it was. When I started the 9th grade I just went with the flow of things. First opening/closing ceremonies, MFE and Agronomy Judging. I was hooked! Then I decided to show a market lamb at the fair. What fun! Then I decided to become a chapter officer. I ran and was elected to chapter secretary.
What has been your most challenging FFA experience?
It would be public speaking for sure. I hate it and everything about it. But, I am happy that I have chances to practice and work on this fear I have of public speaking.
Who has had the greatest impact on your life?
It would be my parents because they support me in everything that I do. Like when I told them I wanted to show a market lamb, which they supported me 100%. They said if I really wanted to do this I could. And, they were lots of help by driving me to the school farm everyday, and taking me to the fairgrounds in Turlock.
If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it?
I would put half of it in the bank. I would give 1/4 to a charity organization. I would spend the rest of it right away.
Final thought
I never really thought about how much agriculture is in our everyday lives. Like what you have for breakfast which probably came from some farm. If farmers don't farm, we don't eat! So I encourage everyone to support agriculture!
